Original game already has widescreen support, it just isnt in settings menu

pull up the console and put these commands in:

/r_customwidth 1920
/r_customheight 1080
/r_mode -1

you might wanna change the fov too with:

/cg_fov 120

once you're done put in:

/vid_restart

thats the .exe (engine) file, all you need is the .pk3 files (game assets) and ur good to go, still works online too

Sandy wouldn't get anything either way in this case since he didn't work on Quake 3, he already left after finishing Quake 1.

Other than that i agree with you, the money will end up in the hands of some (((Goldsteins))) working at ZeniMax/Bethesda.
