Don't listen to them, you did average. Not good, but not bad. Not a good deal by any means, but you did about AT market value right now. So you need to work on your game, but don't feel bad.

I thought it was a solid deal.

Nothing incredible, but relatively below market value. It worked out to about $15 dollars a game, which both NES games pull, and the LTTP is pushing 30, majora's mask is the same, and I think OoT might be there to if I remember properly.

I could be wrong, I haven;t checked eBay in awhile.

Like it or not eBay is the prime price decider for most retro games.

It is no different from looking up the price of a car in a Blue Book.

There is nothing wrong with gaining an average value of these games by eBay.

Do i agree with the prices, not necessarily, but I am not going to sell/trade my games for less simply because of that.

The only fair price is what someone is willing to pay for something. If it's sells, that's the fair price. Nobody forces sales on you.

>this is not a controlled market

Not always true. The misadventures of tron bonne has gone up entirely because one or two sellers have bought all the copies online, and then relisted them at higher prices. however this is a rare case, and only happens with games in very low supply.

>the seller sells at the price he wants

fact

>there is no such thing as a global conspiracy to UP prices between sellers

only for a few extremely rare games, generally this isn't true

>if someone buys on ebay to resell it again that is his own business and he thinks he will be able to sell it

fact

>if you dont want it dont buy it

no problem here, but most people here would rather bitch about a game that NOBODY is forcing them to buy.

>The whole reason I bring this up is because I have people contacting me, and now asking me how much I pay for NES systems (with common games; if any) and where they can sell these systems for thousands of dollars. Are you kidding me? Is the television viewing public really this 'stupid?' Sorry, but I do have to ask. One would assume so, since ever since 'Auction Hunters' touted that an Atari 2600 in the box is worth $250; my sales of in the box units doubled! I used to sell them at $99.95 to $124.95 in the box; now I charge a lot more on my eBay account that sells Atari systems! Let people believe what they want to, but again, I caution anyone who uses prices touted on television to buy or sell any item. In the end, there is always someone who profits from it. Problem is, some people now believe that these systems are worth more and more; and I know some sellers who have literally storage units full of Atari 2600 systems because they want top dollar for them. Ironically, I wonder what will happen if they don't pay the bill while they hope to get top dollar for these systems? Will we see these on an episode of 'Auction Hunters' or 'Storage Wars?' Time will tell...but it is amazing how things seem to come 'full circle.' Ever notice that?

I went out to garage sales last weekend. Towards the end of my trip I go to this sale and ask if they have any old video games. One of the ladies says she thinks she has a Nintendo 64 and goes to grab it.

She comes back with a NES, no cables, no controllers, no games. I don't actually have a NES, I have a famicom/NES clone that plays both. So I offer her $10 for it as is. She says she want's to keep it because "She saw on T.V. that it's worth a couple hundred; it's the one with the numbers on it."

There is no 'SEC' for the collectibles and antiques industry. Most investors of collectibles end up breaking even at best, and losing money due to the cost of storage, transaction fees, and other numerous fees. ONLY experts or people who know their chosen field usually make money. I always advise that when people buy items for investment they protect themselves in any way shape or form they can.
