>As you can see, this is a PlayStation black disc. Cut #1 contains computer data, so please don't play it. But you probably won't listen to me anyway, will you?

Did you play it, /vr/?

No. I didn't have a PS1 when I was a kid. I only finally played it when I bought it on XBLA years ago.

Great game.

>> No.639943

Hell no I didn't. I wanted Long Library and Marble Gallery, not some lame club remix of Alucard's doofy VA.

what happens if you play it?

Random loud noises that will destroy your hearing

>> No.640181

>Late 1995, 9 years old.
>Dad's bought us a Playstation for Xmas, but also a bunch of game magazines to read right now.
>One of the magazines, Play if I remember correctly, has a Doom demo disc.
>Out of curiousity I put it into my CD Walkman
>Lots of eerie music, one techno track, and one track of a demonic voice speaking

Hearing that voice through my headphones freaked the fuck out of me.

Yeah, while we're at it, I always found the concept of CV's Legion disgusting.

how many games was legion in? my most distinct memories of it were from AoS, i loved how you would see the bodies walking towards the boss room as you went through the first part of the area...

SOTN right?
HoD too I think

There's two Legions (or possibly two forms of the same Legion) in Harmony of Dissonance. I haven't played the DS games so I'm not sure if it's any of them.

SotN's Legion is also a boss of one of the DLC levels in Harmony of Despair.

Yeah, that was a nice touch. When I was playing it for the first time, I was really confused, and then OH FUCK THEY'RE WALKING TO FORM A LEGION OH SHIT.

A lot of Saturn games and damn near all SegaCD games play music from track 2 on.
My favorites are Sonic 3D Blast and Jurassic Park: The Lost World (not the same score from the movie for some reason)
Battle Corps. has a chill as fuck soundtrack
Snatcher is fun too since all the VA is in there too.

CD audio soundstracks were sweet, then they starting using compression that wasn't CDDA compatible, I guess.
Was just listening to Sylpheed and Keio Flying Squadron (Great music, shamefuru voice acting)
Probably a bad idea to carry around a $50-60 game in your walkman that could be stolen or broken, too.

>>640449
Hell yeah! Sylpheed.
I ruined my Shining Force CD back in the day whilst transporting it from the player in my room, back to the TV room. One drop is all it takes....
