Are there / will there ever be genre specific home arcade machines? Company specific ones are kind of cool but I'd much rather have a fighting game machine, a beat em up machine, or a shmup machine

I dont give enough of a shit to go through the headache of setting up a dedicated mame pc in an arcade cabinet, but I'd probably pay $200-$300 for a shmup plug and play

Yeah, I just checked. You can switch out any of the existing images or populateyour own. I see people running CPS games. Apparently it has a broadcom 1ghz processor in it so a lot of emulators work on it but it would chuug bad with anything 3D and the onboard storage is eensy but you can plug usb drives into the P2 usb-c port if you're so inclined.

Still deciding whether I want to buy one or buy a 4th icade cabinet for about the same money.
