ITT: retro games where you can do heinous/evil/'fucked up' acts

In Fallout 1 and 2 you could kill children and receive the childkiller perk, ruin your reputation and all (although in the newer releases like the Steam ver., children are made invisible, as well as other censorship nonsense. you need a mod to reenable that again). And in Fallout 2 you could work for the slavers guild and put people into slavery.

Are there any other retro games where you can do terrible/evil shit?

Fucking assholes. I wish all of their kids die and a long and hard life in slavery.

I remember playing F2 without kids in 2000. European version?

You can kill anyone (including Lord British) in Ultima VI, but if you kill important characters, it might screw your game (unwinnable?).

in-game, this would put a bounty on your head, leading to random encounters with vigilantes. I discovered this by massacring Shady Sands on my evil runs.

You can kill kids in Baldur's Gate too. Control them with magic and make the fight each other/bears.

Yeah, all versions besides the US version apparently. This probably mainly had to do with the German market, who's government at the time had very strict regulations on violence in video games. From what I've heard European releases tended to hew to Germany's restrictions just for simplifying distribution.

It's not quite retro but you could do some fucked up shit in Black and White. I taught my creature to eat mostly children, but that gives them terrible indigestion so I taught him to throw his shit into the food supplies of enemy villages.

I also found you got so much god energy from human sacrifices, particularly kids, that it was more efficient to just throw some folks on the pyre and then create some grain or wood myself than have the humans actually farm.

So all my subjects only had one of two jobs. They either worship me all day, or they're breeders and they fuck all day to produce children for me to sacrifice for more power.

I believe Steam and GOG releases are the cleaned up European releases that had cursing and children removed, but they can be readded with a fan patch that will also add other removed content. In Fallout 2 I had a gunfight with one of the opposing crime families in New Reno, my party member Vic shot some of the crime family kids because they were throwing rocks at him, and then I ended up having the childkiller perk/reputation. Weird thing is that because my player character wasn't the one who did it, he didn't get the bad reputation, just the childkiller perk. My kill stats even included the number of kids I had "killed" even though none of them were killed by me personally.

Not retro, but in Pillars of Eternity, a 2015 game inspired by Baldur's Gate, you can also kill kids just like in Baldur's Gate. I don't know what the bad consequences are for doing it because I only tried to see if it's possible -and it is possible- and then loaded a previous save. It's weird because PoE is a quite high profile game from famous developer and publisher, Obsidian and Paradox, and released in 2015. I guess people who are into these type of games are smart enough to not get outraged over everything, but it's still crazy. It's a great game, too.

Inb4 not retro, in Deus Ex you can murder kids, especially that annoying chink brat in Hong Kong.

Shadow President lets you fuck up any country on Earth with nukes.

In Takeshi's Challenge you must divorce your wife and then you can beat the shit out of her AND your kids. Domestic violence in a game licensed by Nintendo for play on the Famicom, sweet!

I hate and loathe with a passion this whole mindset people have to make the world and everything in it a safe space playpen for everyone. fucking hell censorship when none is needed is annoying. And moralqueers that wanna weep it shouldnt be in the game can go weep about le evil straight man on /vr/ that wants games to not be censored cuz it hurts sissyboi feelings and makes people upset

It's like that since F2 premiered, it just depends on which version you are playing. Nice way of exposing yourself as a newfag

A lot of that censorship was done very sloppily too.

Baldur's Gate; there's a place where some people eventually turn into werewolves, the way the transformation happens is that the NPC is violently gibbed and the werewolf is spawned in its place, actor gone, script over. In the German censored releases, child NPCs are straight up made unkillable, and nobody bothered to follow up on this, so what happens in this version is that the transformation script just goes into a loop, because the NPC isn't terminated, so the child just stands there and an endless torrent of werewolves spring forth, multiple lycanthropes per second, and you get just completely overwhelmed, because even if you cheat, you can't take on 100 werewolves in one go. Hell, this probably slowed some PCs to a crawl in the day.

In Doom 2, there's a pair of secret Wolfenstein 3D levels, and since Nazi imagery is VERBOTEN, the maps are just deleted from the .wad, but the secret exit to reach them is still there, and if you use it, the game crashes, trying to load level data that isn't there.

I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream has an entire main character deleted, because he's more or less Josef Mengele, but you need to play every character to finish the game, so you just have this gaping hole in the game where it's impossible to continue.

>> No.6384425

>>6380620
This would depend. Here in Sweden, games evidently didn't come through German distributors, because I never saw any weird censorship stuff like that here.

The GBA ports of Doom would have the green blood and toned down gore, but that wasn't done by a German distributor, that was done by the company doing the port, in advance, I guess because they didn't want to make another version, maybe wanted a lower rating, and possibly pressure from Nintendo.

I like to bait Germans by criticizing their censorship and accusing them of trying to erase history, and when they get angry I say "Don't take your aryan rage out on me" and "I see you learned nothing from the last two times you got your ass kicked." if they continue

It drives them up the fucking wall. That's a great phrase to use, "Don't take your <identifier> rage out on me", it works especially well on Asians.

Sakusaku Daigoutou Returns
https://www.pc98.org/sakusaku.html

>Whenever someone in the US complains about how violent and graphic video games in the US are I just shake my head. This little gem involves you playing a hammer wielding barbarian who can wantonly murder just about the entire town from old men to children without affecting the game play, and rapes female characters to refill his health. It's really a blast to play, the only controls are the arrow keys to move, space to pull out the hammers, and escape to summon the inventory menu. After that, just hammer everything still it collapses into a bloody heap or you have sex with it. I suppose there's a story, but really, who cares? IT'S HAMMERIN' TIME.

In Fallout 1 or 2, there's a quest where you need to kill a guy that lives in a mansion. He never comes out. You can program a bomb with a timer, walk up to the gate, call the guy's son and tell him you have a present, and the little guy runs off all happy to give it to his father.

Brutal.

>Wasteland
I mean, the first quest most people will probably do ends up with you killing a kid (rescue the dog in Highpool). And it's actually canon that the Rangers killed the kid (Wasteland 2 alludes to this).
