A modern re-make of Escape Velocity: Override is being made by the original author of the Override story+scenario.

It will be released for modern Mac, Windows, and Linux.

The original game is nearly impossible to play these days since it hasn't been updated in decades, and the registration server have been destroyed.

The intention is to make the new game just as moddable as the classic.

£8 for just the game. Thats even cheaper than what it was back when it was new in 1998.
