alright this shit is driving me insane. Why the fuck does the options screen trigger for seemingly no reason? This has happened at least 3 or 4 different times. Here is one such location. Is this some emulation bullshit?

Well, if you're playing on an emulator, then yes, obviously. This never happens on the console.

Emulators can have bugs like these. I remember the Saturn version on an old version of SSF, enemies didn't attack, they just walked towards you and did nothing.

It's definitely not accurate. For Saturn it and most other Saturn emulators are completely fudging their implementation of VDP2. It makes doing patches and homebrew a bit of a headache as Mednafen and other emulators will let you do things that a real Saturn vomits over.

You're mistaking the dualshock soundtrack for the director's cut soundtrack. The plain-jane director's cut version has arrange mode amd the original soundtrack.
