How is it? The fan translation still isn't finished and the PS4 version (which is basically a hastily done port of the PSP version that was thrown in as a pre-order bonus for 13 Sentinels) is pretty unlikely to get an international release.

It's fun, Battle gameplay has some neat ideas to it that make it fun to battle. Story is pretty cool and the characters are well designed. Like every Vanillaware title (I know it isn't officially Vanillware), suffers from being repetitive as fuck.

You beat the first portion of the story with Gradriel and then play with the other characters before unlocking the real final part of the game. In my opinion Gradriel was the most fun to play as compared to the rest of the characters so for me this was a bit of a let down. Also, very limited enemy number and lots of lots of recolors.

It's a shittier version of Odin Sphere which is a shittier version of Dragon's Crown and then they made Odin Sphere like Dragon's Crown. Just go play one of those two. Guardian Heroes is a better retro beat em up RPG.
