631457 No.631457 [Reply] [Original]

I had Hagane and Mega Man 7 for the Super Nintendo and Mega man IV for GameBoy.

ITT: Games you kick yourself every day for having sold or traded!

I didn't even sell them for much! Just enough to buy another used games! Games that must have sucked because I don't even remember the damn titles! FUCK ME, SATAN!

What was I thinking?
Oh, I know what I was thinking. "Man, these are great and all, but I've played them too much".

90s MAXIMILIANO, YOU FUCKING IDIOT!

By the way, I bought back Mega Man 7. I'm trying to undo my mistake and I'm buying my old collection, but some games are hard to find or too expensive.

Yes, it's a hard game. Damn, I had fun with it...

Anyway, yes. It's relatively hard to find, at least where I live. I've looked all over the place. No one has it.
Next trip to Argentina I'm gonna try there. because they send me there to work and technically, looking for a game is work.
Not the work they pay me to do, though. i hope no one asks.

I had Demon's Crest at one time, I borrowed it from a friend. It was one of those things where I could have kept it forever and he never would have missed it, especially since I haven't seen him in years. But my conscience got the better of me and I gave it back to him after a couple months. This was years ago though, so at the time it wasn't nearly as "rare" as it is now.

200 dollars? Well, luckily the dollar is pretty much worthless anyway. Still, I know the thing is gonna be expensive if I find it. I'm willing to pay pretty much whatever they ask.

Kinda the opposite, a couple of years ago I was sleeping and my dad called me from a flea market. Half asleep I answered the phone and he told me "hey, some guy has a couple of those games you collect. Small ones, gray".
Classic GameBoy cartridges. I asked for the titles and he told me, "one of them is called Tiny Toon something and the other is Metroid or something".

I asked how much and according to the currency converter I just used, in American dollars it was about 4 bucks. I told him "buy the Metroid game, act like it's nothing, I'll meet you in your house in one hour and I'll give you the money".

And that's why I have every Metroid game ever except for the pinball one. I play it on the Game Cube using the GameBoy Player. it doesn't even have scratches and the battery saves better than Jesus.

So, yeah... life, am I right?

Well, I had a lot of friends who had an Earthbound, but back there we didn't care about that game because "wtf how do I play this" we didn't played much rpg and english wasn't our first language. I've lost contact of each one of them.

I also lent my Jurassic Park game for a Chrono trigger, but I didnt liked it for the same reasons above, he got changed to another school and I thought I would never see my Jurassic Park again, so I found his address and went to his home with his Chrono Trigger and asked for my Jurassic Park.

I also had that orange controller for the Game Cube, but lent it to a friend's friend who I never saw again. He didn't even seems to like videogames, I gave me a Def Jam Fight For NY in exchange.

Also when I got my first GF (she was a gamer, nor a GURL GAMER, she actually knew her shit), I was so naive and stupidly in love that I gave her my childhood nes and all the games I had for it (Contra, Double Dragon, Metroid, Mario 1, 2 and 3, Crystalis, P.O.W., Dr Mario, Arch Rivals, Bugs Bunny Blowout, Batman, Megaman 2 and 3, Castlevania 2 and 3 and Kirby Adventure). 3 months later we broke and I never saw that nes nor any of those games again.

Later I bought another nes and got all those games again except for castlevania 2 and 3, double dragon, metroid, and P.O.W.

Oh, not related but I bought a Road Rash 3D for when it was released at the modic price of 810 pesos, like 80 dollars of that time. Geez I hate my young self.

>Mega man IV for GameBoy.

My god OP, I understand your feel. I had MM7, too. And MMV on Game Boy. I sold them both. Now they're insanely expensive.

That copy of MM7 was the original copy from my local rental store that I used to rent all the time when I was a kid. The manual still had my handwriting in the back where I had wrote passwords in it for other people to use when they rented it. I bought that copy when that store shut down just because it was the one I always rented. I should have never sold it.

I traded in my first console ever, Dendy Junior (Russian famiclone) with a couple of other random games, most notably a copy of the Japanese NG3 (Ninja Ryukenden 3). Naturally, all the games were bootlegs, but I guess my Ninja Ryukenden copy was made back when the pirates actually gave a shit about what they released, because the cart label looked pretty much exactly like picrelated, except that the cart itself was yellow instead of black. It should be noted that NR3 was one of the first games I ever remember playing and that when I got my own copy, beating the game was pretty much a daily ritual for me. I could basically beat it my sleep, so when I heard that Americans consider NG3 to be the hardest in the series by far, I just kinda scoffed in disbelief.

My only excuse is that I traded it in towards a copy of Sparkster for the Genesis. Also a bootleg, naturally, but back then and there even finding a bootleg of this game was impossible. I still have it. I would've replaced it with a legit copy, if it weren't for the fact that it's one of the more expensive and hard-to-find games for the Genesis.

>tfw you learn that Dendy Junior was the original Russian famiclone before the market got flooded with a shitzillion of cheaply made knock-offs and that finding one now is actually kind of a bitch

I wish I could sayI have no regrets,but that would be a lie. ;_;

One of my three greatest fails as a gamer. I don't think I'll ever live it down.

The main reason for that is that the Japanese version had unlimited continues, passwords, and you took less damage, while the American one took all of that away until Ninja Gaiden Trilogy

It's not hard to find and it's not expensive.
Now, if you had it with box, booklet and the whole thing and with the CD, well...
