it's just like when you were a kid except everything is blurrier and makes your eyes and head hurt and moving gives you nausea and trying to interact with anything is like you're trapped in some kind of dream where your body doesn't work properly and also VR controllers are shit for retro games

Jokes on you, I have a bad astigmatism so my childhood was already like that.

The only reason to use VR for retrogaming is light gun games, and nobody has done that right yet because they're too busy making autistic 3D models of stereotypical 90's kid's bedrooms and TV screens covered in fingerprints and sneezes.

Point me to a VR lightgun frontend that just runs the fucking game on a resizable plane of whatever size at whatever distance I fucking want, and then we'll talk.

are you trying to play virtual boy?
I can't really see any other use for retroarch in vr, unless you saw that emuvr game which is only available on PC which uses retroarch cores in the game

one day we'll be able to stream retro games directly into our brains with scanlines
