Back in the 2000s I got super into collecting Sega CD stuff because the platform and games are so weird (and no one wanted it at the time). To be realistic however, games that are considered "great" on the Sega CD would be considered average on the Genesis. The library is pretty bad.

I want one but console shit is expensive nowadays for no reason at all.

I own one but I never use it, too much of a hassle to set up, and I am a hardware guy.
For Sega CD games I just use the real games on my PC CD drive and use Kega Fusion with an USB pad, and the PC with video out to a CRT. Not having the slow loading times on the Sega CD is also good.

>>6308765
What games do you find have long loading times? I've never noticed this issue with the Sega CD, the games are way too small to require loading bars like Playstation games.

The Mega CD also has an extremely generous amount of RAM inside of it for caching CD data by 16-big standards.

Is it just me or does the Sega CD seem worse at scaling sprites than the SNES?

>> No.6313985

How much should I realistically be paying for one of these? Ebay prices are kinda up there

I wonder if it's worth anything since one of them died.

It is just you. SNES has the same amount of sprite scaling capabilities as a stock Genesis.

People wanted a Sega CD
The $300 dollar price tag in the 90's was very high

It's that it seems that scaling on the sega cd seems slower from what I've seen. Like sonic cd's special stages vs something like f zero

I don’t know... Can the SNES scale more than one object?
