It’s very good. You will either love the combat system for being engaging and rewarding your ability to learn the rhythm it for forcing you to use repetitive inpurs to get optimal damage but it’s a fantastic jrpg and has some if the coolest animations on the platform.

It's more difficult, even japs complained about it.
Enemies and Bosses have ~25% more HP and do ~25% more physical damage. Magic is nerfed.
Enemies and Special enemies drop 3x less gold.
If you know where to go and what choices to make, the moon runes won't be an issue.

Personally I've never tried it because I don't agree with the changes, it doesn't feel like LoD and the damage is just too 'over the top'.
Either try this or jap release and bio for an emulator/buy the jap PS and game.
