Zoomer here... never played a game older than PS2 generation.

Where do I start? 4th gen is prob the oldest I'll go, no hate. Top 10 games for each generation?

Look at box art or titles and play the games that look/sound cool to you. Like we did back then. You don't need curated countdown lists to get started with games.

Just play whatever looks good. Get some game compilations like Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, watch AVGN or other youtubers that talk about classic videogames, stuff like that.

No one here cares about convincing you to play old games, kid. Threatening to play newer games means nothing. Do what you want, just play games you enjoy and have fun. If you want to discuss a game you've recently played, or a genre, or something else specific, then by all means make a thread about it. But if you're just here to get top ten lists of games from every console in existence, then go search YouTube or something because this pointless spoonfeeding is just shitting up the board. There are endless top ten lists on the internet that you could be reading. Go play some games and come back when you actually have something to say about those games and the reception will be far warmer.
