Not gonna lie, as a kid I REALLY wanted a model 1 Sega CD, I thought it was a whole separate system more advanced than the model 2 I had.

Love this shit, maybe because I didn't have it in my childhood but I don't think so, I've also heard Americans don't like design (VHS player style). Is it true? I can't understand it, NES so big and so cool I'm very glad to have it near my TV

Here in Russia, we had white-gray clones of Famicom called "Dendy" so I don't like it, but I still want to buy the original Famicom console. The only thing I couldn't understand in my childhood why they added that eject thing? That sucks, I never use it, I just ejected carts using my hand.

it's funny, with most of Nintendo's early consoles there just doesn't really feel like a whole lot of incentive to really put much effort into collecting the actual physical games or consoles(except maybe for the Light Gun games on the NES and SNES, and the N64 in general, mostly because of the difficulty of emulating those), yet with SEGA's systems, I find myself actually quite interested in hunting down the consoles and their various add-ons and accessories, I think at least some of it is just that there's a certain physicality present in SEGA's stuff that's overall lacking in Nintendo's older consoles

Mmmm. The euro model 1 reminds me of the Neo Geo, with the simplicity, elegance and the sleek golden letters in an all-black console. The japanese model has the red parts and the blue reset button that kind of subtracts a bit of that minimalism. The huge golden 16-BITS letters look a bit tacky too (Like a Mr.T gold necklace).

I want to play FX Unit Yuki on original Genesis hardware. If you know the game, you know that there are only 100 carts in existence. I can get a flash cart and a rom, but does anyone know what flash carts work with this game? I've heard it only works on version 1 Genesis consoles.
