The year is 1991. You inherit 100 million dollars, you can do whatever you want with it. You decide to enter the console market and stir the market with your new killer machine. How would you name it? What would you invest your money in? What kind of console would you release? What kind of hardware would you put in? Would you go with expensive S-Video outputs and x2 CD-Rom drive or would you put a budget Zilog processor and 3-channel 8-bit sound chip?

I'd instead invest into some Polish, Czech and Hungarian companies that I can buy for pocket change, do a quick restructurisation and sell them for pretty penny to Koreans and/or stuck joint venture agreement with them. Then I buy bonds and live from dividend for the rest of my life.
Alternatively, assuming I retain my knowledge of the future, I invest into various stock bubbles right in time and back from them before they burst.

Funnel money to Nintendo so they can scrap the SNES and make a 16 bit machine with a processor that can compete with the Genesis, as well as audio hardware capable of both FM synth and midi sequence playback that doesn't sound like it's underwater. That, or I use money to start on the N64 but without the reliance on SGI and make a system without the retarded drawbacks of the actual N64.

Not the anon you are replying to, but you could get those 100 mil, enter Polish market and help Kluska and his Optimus company. The small, small offshots of his company today are CDPR and one of the biggest internet portals in Poland, the rest got fucked by government. But with 100 mil in the pocket, it's very easy to smear where it's needed to be smeared to get them fuck off from the company and keep making big bucks on games.
