I like the game, but Incredible Technologies sure had a nerd boner for early 3D rendering, it kinda makes the game look like some freaky digitized version of Bloodstorm in ways.
Backgrounds I mean, there's always weird 3D rendered objects that don't make sense and only look cool to 12 year olds.
This game deserved more digitized background scenery and less 3D rendered spiky skull chambers.

SF Movie was great in a campy way. "For me it was Tuesday" is still one of the greatest movie quotes ever. Also, Bison dollars.
Double Dragon and Super Mario movies were both good too. Doom was okay for a zombie movie, the only big problem being that Doom wasn't about that at all.
Mortal Kombat was great and possibly still the best video game movie, but that's only because the game itself was a 80s kung fu movie turned into game.

I have the old Collector's Edition DVD and the European Bluray, and I only double dip for a few select movies. And this one is just very fun and very rewatchable. Really don't get the hate. The only thing I didnt like was finding out that they had to cut out so much R rated violence that they got a PG rating when the studio wanted "just" a PG13.

Vega for example was going to die, impaled by his own claws, but in the movie he just falls on top of them and ir's very quick.

I'm pretty sure he had to say no to Mortal Kombat because he was already working on Street Fighter. And thank god for that. Other original castings include Cameron Diaz as Sonya, who did undergo shooting but left the project when she got injured doing a fight. And Sean Connery as Raiden, who was of course out of their budget, so they went "let's get that other dude from Highlander instead." It's amazing how many bullets that movie dodged and ended up with something perfect instead.
