You were in a mansion or a castle or something and you had to set traps and spells and shit to kill the people who came in. It was a PS1 game and it had a kind of dark atmosphere. It was sort of a puzzle game, I guess. I think it had a female protagonist.
Can anybody help me out, please?

It's not Tecmo's Deception. I'm pretty sure that you were guarding the mansion from outsiders in this game.

I remember only playing it as a demo, though, so it might have never had a full release, or hell, maybe it was some kind of beta for Deception.

Ah, did it still take place in a modern setting or what it a medieval setting?

Text adventures with pictures was something I enjoyed playing a lot of on an old Apple II. I'm reminded of an old text adventure that took place in a medieval setting. You were on an adventure with another guy for some goal, but I can't even remember what that goal was. Me and my friends would just wander and discover stuff.

One of the funniest parts of hte game I remember was a reference to an old "Screwy Squirrel" cartoon where you enter an shipwrecked ship and look out the window towards the ocean. If you look out the window more then three times your partner would get seasick and the text would indicate that he barfed.

Good times. Though I'm not sure anyone even remembers that game. We never got far in it. Eventually we would encounter a toll bridge with a troll, and if we approached it we were killed instantly. What was that game?

A fighting game on the MegaDrive.

Was based on some sort of Western cartoon. It's about superheroes or somesuch, is sci-fi-ish, and I had a toy from the same franchise (a black-caped guy in a golden helmet with red line for a visor). I don't think it's any majoror license, and the game was pretty terrible.

It's NOT a famous or popular video game by any means. I've only heard about it once in a youtube video of some sort (which I can't remember now either), and I've long lost my copy of the MD game.

>> No.624051

The only thing I remember is this:

It's a FPS.
You fought the last boss (at least I think it was the last one) in a rectangular shaped room that had a smaller rectangular pool in the midle, which He runs around in while shooting at you. He is defeated by a steel beam dropping down on him.

One more thing, though I'm not sure this is the same game. In one of the levels, the first one I think, you start out in a small room that has a fountain in the middle, and enemies are coming from all directions.

Old PC game. Got the demo for it in the nineties in an EGM magazine I think. It could be played two-player. You controlled a bunch of different toys, and you sent them from your side of the screen, to the opponents side. The objective was to get a certain number of them to cross the other side. It had toys like fast cockroaches, bulldozers, and fisticuffs-Santa clauses. I have never been able to find hide nor hair of it.

It was like Contra except top-down. It ran on my Windows 95 but it may have been MS-DOS, I can't quite remember.
The game featured you as some small army guy with a rifle. You killed aliens, got power-ups and fought a few bosses. One of them was a big ship in a blue room that had 4 cockpits, shot bullets from itself and fire bursts from a big cannon on the front.
The second boss was in an area with a lot of train tracks, little carts whizzed by, then this huge one comes on screen at shoots a "plasma beam" at you.(pic related) You could use the plasma beam if you got the plasma gun and a few "power" power-ups.
The last boss was a skull whose eyes would flash before shooting plasma beams at you. It had tendrils all over the room and those had pink balls attached. You had to shoot these to hurt it.

That's about all I can remember.

It was an arcade game, a sidescrolling beat-em-up that starred a military guy and girl, co-op. You would go around beating baddies in a jungle (or, well, that was the first stage), and could also pick up and throw things with stretchy Dhalsim-like arms. Sometimes you's also have to grab and pull rings across some monkey bars to get the the next part of a level.

This has been bugging me forever. What a terrible feel, only having vague memories and trying to remember. Maybe you guys can help ._.

It was a first-person RPG for Windows, I think. I played it in the late 90s or early 2000s - I recall it looking pretty good but don't think it was full 3D.
Similar to Might & Magic where you control a party. I remember starting with 3 human male party members. One might have been a squishy Cleric type. One might have been an archer... but I'm not too sure.
Battles were not in the first person view, I think it went into a tactical view of the battlefield, reminds me a bit of Heroes of Might & Magic, but it might have been vertical instead. Or maybe it wasn't. Hnnng.
You could break into houses. There was a day/night cycle and I believe people could catch you if you broke in while they were there or something.

I never got very far, and there's a chance it might have only been a demo. But it's been bugging me for like 10 years, so any help would be appreciated. Is there a good list of first person RPGs from the era that I could check out? Google isn't being too helpful.

I'm thinking of a kids' game for PC. It's a sidescroller, and there's some guy wearing a big parka (looks a lot like Kenny from South Park) who walks around doing stuff. I seem to recall fairies having something to do with it.

Arcade, 3 games in one. One was a side scrolling space shooter where I think you fought bosses based on the zodiac, another was a sidescrolling platformer where I vaguely remember fighting puppets. Third was some kind of puzzle game. First two had sort of a similar art style, third was completely different.

I'm looking for a specific arcade game.

The only level of it I remember was level 2, you were in surf(hover?)boards and beating up enemies, then either the boss or mid-boss was a floating metal fortress shooting lasers and shit, it was a side scrolling beat em up with either 2 players.

I'm about 50% sure it was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game and whatever it was must have been from before 2000 as I saw it on board a cruise ship a very long time ago.

I'm looking for what I think is a point and click adventure game I watched my uncle play about 15 years ago. It involved male imps, or fairies or gnomes or something. I'm fairly certain they were all male, wearing little caps like in Snow White. I distinctly remember it having strong puzzle elements and the main character going into a big hollow rock with several openings and poking out of them to place items around the rock, possibly a bridge made from a plank of wood? I'm not sure. I seem to remember the game simply being called 'Things' with the titular thing being the name of the creature but I've had no luck searching for any remotely applicable mythical creature name. Sorry it's a little vague and kind of all over the place.

First Person Shooter. One of the early levels was a trailer park. I also remember like a restaurant level. The game was quite colorful. The enemies were I think...frogs? Early 3D game. Possibly 2.5D. Played it in 1997 on PC. Have never seen it again referenced or any screenshots.

Ok, this one I don't expect to get answers for. I was young and stupid. More or less I choose to not to read but instead goof around and did everything by trial and error. It was a rpg game which at the time I wouldn't know how to play. I believe it was for the 64 or something around there. Not a PS1 but older then a SNES.

I only gotten to the first area due to my stupid self at the time but the game was more or less 3D or look like it was 3D while using sprites kinda like old Sim City games. Believe the term is 2.5D? I was able to recruit one team member and it was a baby dragon. This was the only thing that stand out for me. I want to say it was blue but that could be a false memory and it could been green.

I don't expect to get an answer due to lack of information but it never hurt to try right?

And once again looking at the thread I can't help anyone. That sucks, I wish I could give something back.

It was basically a lot like this in style (before the pirate ship anyway)

The problem is, I have this image in my mind so very vividly of a death fortress on the game / stage I'm thinking of.

It was silver, took up about 1/3rd or something of the top of the screen and you could only see a small part of it. What you could see however was silver/gray and there were various struts underneath with a handful of laser cannons attached to the underside (4? 6?) and I vividly remember the on screen characters jumping up to attack the turret points, either with a weapon or jump kicking.

That's really as much as I can remember.

Already looked for all beat 'em up games on GameFaqs and couldn't identify this one, sometimes I wonder if it's even real, but my friend seems to remember a bit about it, so it can't be my imagination.

It was a pretty hard beat 'em up for Snes, there was only one playable character at the beggining of the game, and you would unlock more at the end of each level. You could equip armors at some circunstances, I think the main character had a red armor. Also the game had a password system (or was it save system?), something uncommon for the gender.
The game was japanese, judging by the theme, I don't think there was a english version.

A PC game that was on a disc with like 500 small games that I got with a (I think) gravis gamepad in the second half of the 90's.

It was a top down space game, where you controlled a space ship and could go around in space and take over other planets, and buy upgrades and stuff for your space ship. You would meet AI controlled space ships as well and fight. Very vague memories of this, but the art style was kind of cartoonish and colorful.

Okay, there was a PS1 JRPG that my sister played back in the day... it had animated cut scenes but 3D character models during gameplay (I think), I don't think they were really detailed. The story had something to do with different elemental crystals or some such (wasn't a FF game). There was a floating island at one point. I think the main character used a Sword and Shield?

I think there was some kind of flying mascot character. I remember an animated scene where the main hero (I think) walks in on a girl showering and she throws an axe at him. I also remember something about a green jewel.

It was multiple discs, I think.

I'm not that guy, but checking out a video of that has made me very vaguely remember two games I played for a while probably about 15 years ago now.

1:
You were an intergalactic trader. I think you had some sort of a 2D star map and the goal was basically to go between planets and buy low, sell high. I'm pretty sure there were random events, you needed fuel, had limited cargo space to move cargo with but could buy better ships etc. I don't remember much else.

2:
(this I remember very little about) I think you were a planet that was out trying to conquer the solar system one planet at a time while an AI on the other side of the solar system tried to do the same thing.
The only part that sticks in my memory is that there were about 7 to 9 planets lined up in a row almost with the two of you at either end, then you would (discover? research?) the next nearest planet to find out what type it was. I think the planets were shown in rectangle boxes but I may be misremembering.

All I really remember of it was I was too young for it, but from watching my dad play it back then, it was a 2D Isometric with full English localization, where you at some point are at a shop where you could purchase a magazine-looking item that the game called something like “Porn”, sans-quotation, and was available for purchase without using a mod for the item. You either had the option to kill the shopkeeper, or were required to, or could or were required to instigate them, I don’t remember which, as I was probably far too young to remember exact details beyond one or few seconds or minutes of it…

Does the possibility of it being available on Yahoo! Games on Demand further narrow-down the date at all?
