Pic related, Circus Caper. I had this for years and I don't think I ever got past the crocodiles in the first level. For those of you who don't know, this is a game with a ridiculously long, unskippable cutscene in the beginning, followed by shitty gameplay. You jump so high you nearly clear the screen. If you jump on an enemy, you DO clear the screen.

Just awful.

somebody recommended this game on this board a couple of days ago. I had never heard of it but didn't dare to try it.

Here, a shitty game I owned as a kid. My brother loved motocross so he bought this because it looked fantastic on the back of the box. I ended up playing it more than he did, although it really sucked (awful graphics, awful enemy ai, AWFUL physics) I ended up having some fun still.

I remember renting that and playing it through to the end. No, it's not really good, but in that respect, it is faithful to the source material.

THIS fucking piece of shit

Where I lived, the cartoon wasn't syndicated so my only exposure to Inspector Gadget was the Matthew Broderick movie which I still love by the way fuck the haters it has that 90s disney charm of deconstruction cliches and didn't even know the cartoon existed.

I begged my parents to buy this game for me, thinking it would be some cool sidescroller/3D platformer

BOY WAS i DISAPPOINTED

What a fucking MEDIOCRE puzzle game. Like, so fucking average and simpleminded.

The thing that stands out the most to me about Crazy Maze is that I have seriously never felt disappointment about the true nature of a game born from misinformed excitement. Maybe finding out Dead Island was going to be nothing like that full CG trailer about the Zombiebabbygirl would rank second place, this game though, all the way on top.

As the sole dweller in the hall of the mountain king of shit.

I had Bart vs. the World for NES. I still remember the pain of having played Bart vs. the Space Mutants earlier on the NES so when I received vs. the World for Christmas, it was probably the most fake "thank you" I ever laid down in my life.

It was still believable though like the Christmas before when I got TMNT for NES and had no idea what I was getting into until a few horrifying hours later. At least then I was legit excited as a kid should have been at getting the newest game that has the mother fucking ninja turtles in it.

NES: Bugs Bunny's Birthday Blowout
SNES: Inspector Gadget, Goof Troop, Uniracers, Toy Story, Paperboy 2 (Throwing papers directly at jocks, couch-movers and elderly people is fun at first, but gets old, fast.)
Genesis: Castle of Illusion, Quack Shot (I hate those games, so sue me.)
Gamegear: Lion King
Gameboy/Color: Braveheart, Conker's Pocket Tales

The latter two aren't that bad (I just didn't care for them) but I don't get the praise for Gadget and Goof Troop. One's an overly-stiff platformer (albeit with some nice powerups) and the other I remember as a tedious overhead back-and-forth collection fest, and not a fun one like LTTP.
