Post those games you want but theres no way you can afford them

https://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9949

Some asshole is selling one of these that i loved as a kid, and since its a cabinet with discrete circuits, it cant be emulated. But the thing is 1000 dollars.

1,000 dollaridoos for a functional, fancy cabinet hosting a rare un-emulable game is pretty fucking reasonable, most people would gouge the price.

Get a loan, anon.

Real poorfags and smart people pirate everything /vr/ unless they absolutely can't for some reason. Besides lusting over some museum piece, the only time buying stuff is ever necessary is if its like, a peripheral you can't really play the game properly without like a light gun or rhythm game controller. I got everything I want and no plastic garbage cluttering my room, feels good man.

Compared to "70's anon" anyone who's not a destitute hobo has achieved "greatness" I see from your buttmad that you haven't.

Could of afforded and bought pic related when I first got into the pinball hobby but the price on it has risen so much that I can't fathom purchasing one nowadays.

I’m a pinball noob, but I always wanted an Addams Family machine. Be still, my heart :’(

>> No.6221576

arcade games and pinball machines are too big of an investment for me because of the space. With my PC CRT and console CRT setups I've exhausted the room in my small apartment and anything more would just be uncomfortable.

Same. That was one from the start I kept putting off because of price and every year it keeps going up!
>>6221576
>because of the space
Yeah, that was my problem for awhile and why I missed out on some good deals. Even now with a house these things take up so much damn real estate that you'll never be able to have everything you want.

I wouldn't feel as bad about Banzai Run being so expensive if there were at least another game out there with the same level of polish. I don't give a shit about the top playfield, but the music and sound effects are so fucking hnnnrgh. The ramp feels so good to shoot with the chase lights going around it, and there's just nothing else like it.

>>6221476
I feel like my desire to get an Addams Family has diminished the longer I've been in the hobby. It's a basic and incredibly sluggish game that isn't hard to find out in public. The pricetag is mostly a trap for rich, clueless bastards who think they're getting the finest machine ever made. You'll find the right machine, anon

More than 20 dollars is expensive to me so I don't own any /vr/ games, just emulator boxes.

That's a pretty reasonable price for a used arcade cab. Especially since it's a cockpit-styled cab and that they cost way more new.
What I'd like to do is to make a searchable database of locations with certain arcade games in them. Say you want to play Metal Slug 3 on a real cab, you just look it up and it gives you a bunch of addresses and locations that have that game as well as info regarding the condition of the buttons, screen, and overall cabinet. It then links to an OpenStreetMap or Google Maps page for that local for easy navigation.

Same, surprised this thing isn't 2500. Where's this game located again?

Absolutely based. Clean room.
The board is full of collectorfags coping because almost every single retro game can be emulated now.

Hol up, hol up, i didn't say anything about emulating. I just have modded consoles hooked to a crt I got for free. You can not pay and have it be a nice experience too

Mainly it was Harvest Moon and Earthbound, but they were both released in Virtual Console and SNES mini, still, doesn't feel like the original.
