I like Smash for #1. Know why? Cuz it was fun as fuck. Sneaking out of school to go over a friends house to fuck each other up on Smash was fucking tits. Silent Hill is a solo game for people with no friends and I've never played System Shock 2 (or the original, for that matter) so I can't place them anywhere on the list.
Games should be fun. That's why they're called 'games.' There's nothing fun about being alone and friendless.
