Fun fact: Garegga's mechanics come from an earlier game called Gun Frontier which inspired the creator. That game has the same type of rank, bomb ammo grabbing and emphasis on bombing for secrets. Garegga just updated this style of game to something without checkpoints and with a higher bullet count.

Garegga isn't really danmaku, it's its own style that's neither old school nor danmaku in terms of hitbox (they're way bigger than danmaku ones but not as big as in old games, they're closer to old games though); it doesn't have a shitload of purple bullets to squeeze through, the patterns are a unique blend.

I don't know of any because very few actual players exclusively play dad games, they normally play both. Dad-only is a nonplayer meme, it's almost never the case, if ever. Danmaku-only happens though, hence the word danmakuck (but it's way less frequent than what those nonplayers believe).
