On the underrated spectrum, MediEvil was a masterpiece, god damn hilarious and fun to play, 10/10 would suck its dick

On the properly rated, Castlevania Symphony of the Night is also pretry fun, if you play it back to back with the help of tutorials to get past the impossible criptic shit and get the true ending its about 8h

Also Metal Gear is an obvious choice

>Disruptor: first game made by insomniac, really good fps game, feels like Doom with robots.
>Evil Zone!: fighting game that only uses two buttons. Great soundtrack and anime visuals. Tons of content and very fun with friends.
>Kula World: really trippy puzzle game. You control a ball and solve 3d mazes. Gets really hard fast.
>Bugs Bunny Lost in Time: surprisingly good collectathon platformer. Also check out the sequel Time Busters.
>Bushido Blade: samurai simulator/fighting game. No health bars, just strike your opponent down with your sword.
>Colony Wars: arcade shooter/space sim. Has multiple endings. Has a sequel: Vengeance, also worth checking out. The third game, Red Sun, is not very good.

Hello guys. I know the PS1 Classic sucks, but I found a cheap one and I'm thinking of buying to modify it and add a lot of games (PSX and SNES).
Does anyone know if this is worth it?
I have a decent PC but I've tried all SNES emulators and I can't play games without huge input lag, so I'm thinking of trying a PS Classic in the hope that the emulators on it (PSX and Snes, basically), without the Windows 10 to get in the way, run without so much input lag.

If you only play the PS1 games, you're playing an objectively inferior version of P1 with a localization that strays ridiculously far from the source material and has tons of cut content, and you'd be missing the entire first half of Persona 2, making Eternal Punishment mean a lot less to the player considering the entire game expects you to have played Innocent Sin and constantly references it

I already bought it. The PS Classic with two controllers is cheaper than a raspberry pi and I just need to stick a Pen Drive in it to "hack". In case the SNES emulator sucks, I can at least play a lot of PS1 classics since I practically only played Gran Turismo 2 at the time.

Only other skateboarding game that I recommend is Thrasher's Skate and Destroy. More simulated game than Tony Hawks games.

I just want to know if this is worth playing because it looks cool. I can into Japanese but I don't want to go through the hassle of scouring the web for a ROM if it's not an enjoyable game.

If you want a slightly less talked about title, I reccomend Vandal Hearts. It's like Fire Emblem but even more basic. It's a pretty simple game but plenty of fun, and the effect when you kill people is so over the top it's hilarious and never gets boring

MGS, Symphony of the Night, any of the Squaresoft games, R4, RE series, Silent Hill, Klonoa, Valkyrie Profile, Rival Schools, Strider 2, Bloody Roar, there's just so much available. Just pick what catches your eye, there were a lot of great games made for the system.

Based /vr/ seems no one else remembers them anymore. Fairly well known at the time but people who didn't play them at the time seem to have forgot they existed. Definitely check them out OP (especially Jap 3, it is at least as good as MGS)
Hell, how many people are suggesting Gran Turismo here? Not that many, but It was the best selling game and pretty much "the pokemon of adults" back in the day. If you want a taste (or relive) of the PSX experience from back in the day, games like these are a must play, forget zoomer-washed curated lists.
