Fuck this guy. Just fuck him.

Stabbing you in the back in the most fucked up way possible, tricking you into killing the king, turning the whole kingdom against you, turning the woman you love against you...causing her to kill herself which causes Oersted to completely give up hope and become the King of Demons. All because of some petty jealousy. I consider him the true villain of the game.

The ending of Oersted's chapter in that game is one of the few times as video game has made me shed a tear. That shit is just classic poetic tragedy. I mean, you become more attached to Oersted than any other character in the game because he's just the typical hero you'd see in a Dragon Quest game. Silent until the very end

Retro: Joker from Fighter's Destiny. People say he can be beaten but I must just suck because I can hardly touch him. I've never beaten him and I never will. I do love his theme though.

Yeah he orchestrated the whole 2nd half of the scenario, but he didn't know the full extent of what the Demon statue could do. He only used a small fraction of its power. Unlike Oersted, with nothing left to lose after the death of his bride and expulsion from the castle, tapped into its' full potential, completely losing his own sanity in the process.

It's more of the ascent towards the fight that takes time, it also proves that Straybow was only just a pawn for the Demon King to find a better tool to use.

Think about it, someone who had everything, gets betrayed by his friends and loved ones, then loses it all... It's the perfect setup. Straybow just wanted to stop being second fiddle.

Oersted waited, the torches above him flickered, and sparked out of the air. There were demons in the lair, he didn't see them, but had expected them now for years.
His warnings to teh King were not listenend to and now it was to late, far to late for now anyway.

Oersted was a knight for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the tournaments and he said to dad "I want to be in the tournaments daddy" Dad said "no you will BE KILL BY DEMONS"
There was a time when he believed him but then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the lair of the Demon King he knew there were demons.
"This is King" the spirit said "you must fight the Demons" so Oersted gotted his sword and cut open a wall. "HE GONNA KILL US" said the demons. "I will magic at him" said the Demon king and he fired the spell. Oersted Sworded at him and tried to sliced him up but the the celing fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the demons" he Shouted.
The Straybrow said "No Oersted, you are the Demons"
And then Oersted was a Dinosaur

Back in my childhood gaming days, I usually liked to play games that had characters which I identified myself in some way or that displayed some physical or psychological trait that I would like to have it myself. They had to be me in that particular world.

Playing as a female character, in my younger self opinion, was gay. Especially in a fighting game since that was no place for a woman.

I think my favourite game, the one I rented the most until I bought it, was Street Fighter II. I played it religiously until my left thumb got blisters and some more to pop those suckers.

Naturally, my most hated character was Chun-Li. Not only cause of all I said above, her clothes were stupid and those buns even more. To make matters worse, my brother loved playing with that bitch. It's the only character he played that could win against me. I hated that fucking bitch so much,

Now I don't care.
