Is Demons Crest underrated? I never see it in any best SNES games lists. Would it deserve a place?

It's the best game in the gargoyles quest series. Super polished gameplay, fun exploration and bosses, and a killer atmosphere. Peak SNES gaming.

platforming is pretty ass, metroidvania aspects half-baked and the UI was an outright downgrade from Mega Man X
however, boss fights and action in general are a million times better than in the two other Gargoyle games, easily on par with Mega Man X bosses.

the hidden boss can be cheesed if you know where to stand, he has a blind spot where you can't get hurt from any of his attacks.

Otherwise I love this game, but as another anon said, platforming and metroidvania aspects are kinda underwhelming and a lot of the enjoyment I get from this game is the gothic horror style.
