I’m pretty sure comfy is a reddit calling card, but sometimes I feel like the last of the oldfags. I don’t go anywhere else or post anywhere else, so with the conglomeration of the Internet I don’t know what came from where anymore. It’s all the same. I really do miss the simple aesthetic of the first couple of soul games. You look at the modern one and the way the series has evolved since and everything just feels so far removed. I never needed to know who made the sword, I never asked for guest characters clogging up the series. I just enjoyed the world they were setting up and the characters they invented.

Seriously. The first game had this sense of, Well I don't want to call it realism, but it felt more grounded even with all the magic and shit. Later games just kind of went to far anime nutso. The designs of the characters and weapons were just piles upon piles of spikes, hair and edge.
