Yes, those are definitely two that I need, especially RE3. I have never played RE3 in my life, despite loving survival horror. I’m also planning on buying:
Any Spyro/Crash games
Tony Hawk games, 1 and 2 in particular

Knockout Kings 99
I bought it at a gas station 20 years ago. For some reason, there was an extra game in the case. I bought it because my dad was a boxer, so I liked boxing games.

I later sold my PSOne to some Jehovas Witnesses (my mother is part of that), and gave them my other copy along with it. Mom convinced me to give them the complete version. Of course, they threw the thing out as soon as they got home, because they believed it was too violent. Very insulting in my opinion.

Do people seriously buy physical copies of older games just to not ever touch them? I didn't know that was the point. I like buying sealed PS1/PS2 games if they're affordable enough just so that I know I'm the first to play the disc. Longetivity means a lot to me.

The dumbest part is it's more expensive to collect PAL. Cut your loses and take the time to rebuy them in NTSC and if you're not retarded you can even make a profit doing so.

That's not even factoring in the wealth of games that never got a PAL release.

it took me 1hour to figure out how to optimize mame, setup my control pad and download 30 games I'm interested in. 28 worked fine instantly, 2 were the wrong version, took 5minutes to find the correct ones.
So far they are arcade perfect, and this new version of mame has very low input lag. Example DodonPachi has only 3frames of input lag, works beautifully.

I can make save states, I can rewind sections in slow motion, I can load new games instantly, everything is fast, efficient and super convenient. FREE also. I can make replays easily.
I have some of these games on console (Capcom Beat Em Up collection for example), but it's just much more convenient and fast to play them on emulator on pc.

Not sure what's so hard for you. Maybe you're using shitty console emulators and roms from garbage sites?

I really see no point in buying games anymore, except as nostalgia artifacts.

Yeah I dont really get the mentality either, unless it comes to PC BigBoxes. If I could afford to throw down the cash Id probably get one of Doom or one of the build engine games. Otherwise im pretty indifferent.

Sweet batch, a little of everything in there. Now I’m salty they never released the first Quake for PS1. While I do love playing 2 on my favorite console, the aesthetic of the original is something else and I sort of miss that.

I think it's more because of the mass quantity of grifters in the western market. It gets absurd when you look at things like the price difference between the NA release of Rule of Rose and the JP release.

My mammy wasn’t that deep into it when they met. Also my dad was retired as a boxer (he peaked as an olympic medalist, had a mediocre pro career, and later trained others), I think he was a bouncer when they met. They divorced early in my life, and he died of cancer in 2004 when I was 12.

I have a picture of him and Ingemar Johansson, a world champion who was featured in Knockout Kings 2001. Dad was good with friends with Raymond Patterson, the brother of Floyd Patterson who fought Johansson for the title.

One of my biggest regrets to this day is selling my SNES and the all the great games I had for it when I was a dumb fuck teenager desperate for money.
Do you guys think it's worth tracking down an actual SNES and buying a flash cart? I still own a decent CRT and I don't have the cash to get into cart collecting.

I'm glad my new tv cabinet comes with drawers and cupboards to stash my meager but growing N64 collection in. I'm starting to look for stickers/cases for it before my collection starts to grow too big

behind Tooie is Diddy Kong Racing, hoping to eventually replace it with a copy that still has a sticker.
behind the two boxes are SMW, All Stars+World, a JP ALttP cart, a gameshark, and Sonic 1

The end goal is to eventually own every single game in the N64 library, complete with box and manual.

Here's my Dreamcast collection. Basically formed out of two different lots I bought locally. I've tried buying one or two games on eBay, but these fragiles PAL cases just EXPLODE in transport, so it's only really my Japanese and American games that are bought online.

They only get cracked if they're shipped in a bubble mailer. Which you'd have to be braindead to do.

Well that’s what most sellers are, braindead. And I would argue that they can still break, PAL PS1 cases turn to dust by blowing on them.

They really are. I'm guessing it's because nobody can read moonrunes, so there's little demand.

I really, REALLY should take the time to learn basic moonrunes. Even if I only get to the reading level of a 7 year old, that'll be enough most retro games.
