I bought it at a gas station 20 years ago. For some reason, there was an extra game in the case. I bought it because my dad was a boxer, so I liked boxing games.

I later sold my PSOne to some Jehovas Witnesses (my mother is part of that), and gave them my other copy along with it. Mom convinced me to give them the complete version. Of course, they threw the thing out as soon as they got home, because they believed it was too violent. Very insulting in my opinion.

Half of the listings had them in hard plastic casings with a gay little grade on a sticker. “9.8 excellent biootiful gaem”. That heavily depends on what system you're buying for, 6th and 7th gen (sans Nintendo stuff) is very cheap usually. Likewise a lot of the 2nd stuff, Masters System and Ps1 are cheap to.

I could, but it’s honestly easier for me to collect PAL as I live in yurop. The retro stores and thrift shops all have PAL games, and I can buy PAL consoles easily with no ridiculous import taxes. I also have no nostalgia for NTSC games as a physical medium, so I wouldn’t enjoy it in the same way. I am considering buying an NTSC PS2 for some exclusives.

Optimal is actually 75, but in some fast paced games, there's a noticeable difference between 75 and 120. This has been proven for racing games.

Im liking it alot so far. Only issue is when you get a bad end you have to fast foward through the whole game to get back to where you were and keep your completion %. It should take the endings seen percentage into account as a whole and not per save like VNs do now but I guess it was a different time.

The expensive jap exclusives, that I would want to buy, are things like Yuuyami Doori Tankentai (had to google that name) and Mizzurna Falls. Basically the games that are hyped up on the internet in recent years. I know the latter was translated last year, but as a physical media fag I would really prefer an alternate timeline where I understood the language.

Just looked up Yuuyami Doori Tankentai and it looks pretty neat. Mizzurna Falls has always been on the to get list its just a matter when I bait my self into spending 40 the money on it. Some other somewhat pricey exclusive I've had my eye on is Danjong Shop Association and Burger Burger. Also what site do you guys use for your imports? I've bought a few dozen from suruga-ya and have been happy with the prices.

Jojo was a Blockbuster liquidation. The guy I got it from gave it to me for the price he paid. 10 bucks. Dragoon is something I've been piecing together. Working at a game store has a lot of perks.

3DO, I have gotten a few games over the years randomly as they were cheap in the junk bins. I still don't have the console and I'm trying to save up for one. In the last 3DO thread someone recommended Dr. Hauser to me, it looks great but I don't think I've seen it available for sale at the Book-offs I have visited. Additional recommendations welcome.

Not pictured, I recently got Titanfall 2 for $9.99 at Best Buy but I also don't have a One X yet either. I hope to increase that collection too.

Imagine downloading a rom and then spending the next hour realising it doesn't work properly so you then have to spend the next hour scouring the internet for another one. Then after you've set up your emulator you find the controller is not mapping its keys correctly and the game has a graphical bug which requires another half an hour searching the internet for the solution. Then when you've finally gotten into the game it crashes after a few hours with a random error code and you have to start all over again. it took me 1hour to figure out how to optimize mame, setup my control pad and download 30 games I'm interested in. 28 worked fine instantly, 2 were the wrong version, took 5minutes to find the correct ones.
So far they are arcade perfect, and this new version of mame has very low input lag. Example DodonPachi has only 3frames of input lag, works beautifully.

I can make save states, I can rewind sections in slow motion, I can load new games instantly, everything is fast, efficient and super convenient. FREE also. I can make replays easily.
I have some of these games on console (Capcom Beat Em Up collection for example), but it's just much more convenient and fast to play them on emulator on pc.

Not sure what's so hard for you. Maybe you're using shitty console emulators and roms from garbage sites?

I really see no point in buying games anymore, except as nostalgia artifacts.
