Hidden Palace apparently has more released planned in the near future. What you do think they could be?

More shit nobody cares about.

It could be a million fucking different games or a million different revisions of the same game. Why the fuck would you even bother trying to guess when it could literally be anything. I bet a good thread died for this.

Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures for Genesis.

Yeah, it isn't like the contributors to the site have an endless well of builds to tap into at the drop of a hat. They have what they have, they don't have what they don't have, and the chances that somebody will contribute one particular build of one particular game are slim, unless evidence exists that somebody who has a particular build has expressed interest in releasing it.

After what they showed off for that week after Christmas, I'm assuming literally nothing of value or merit. Who actually gives a fuck about some early, inferior, alpha Genesis port of Super Star Wars? Or some cancelled GBC Super Man game? If any of these protos mattered, they'd be dropped instantly.

more unplayable demos of games you've forgotten exist

I know it's not their aim but are there many prototypes they've released which are worthwhile for actual players of games, and not just a curiosity?
I'd say the 1993-09-20 prototype of Sonic CD is an example of such a release, arguably superior to the retail US release.

I liked the proto of Sonic 3 that showed that Sega gutted all the Michael Jackson music and based Howard Drossin put it all back in for shits and grins. Shame we'll never get another re-release of Sonic 3 now because everyone knows the truth, including the Jackson estate.

Do you know if said 920 prototype will boot on actual hardware? Not that it really matters though, as I've already burned a disc with a modified JP version with the header changed so it passes the region check.

Came here to post this. At least that's one I'm hoping for.

Apparently it works perfectly:

Later into the thread he says he did burn it and it plays fine.

>who cares about some canned GBC south park game we already got in the form of mary kate & ashley
>who cares about a dump of Conker compiled half a year before it's release
>who cares about an early, inferior and buggy version of sm64

>> No.6122240

although i was a newbie at the time, i sticked around the hidden palace IRC after the drx dump in 2008 and vividly remember him telling soon after that as fate would have it, he got a contact to some dude with a fucking warehouse full of SEGA protos but he had just blown all his money on to the february set so it was not gonna happen
we brainstormed around for a fundraiser for a bit but we were talking about a five-figure sum so it never went anywhere
who knows, maybe they carts are still rotting there, bought off by some hoarder

The Street Fighter II Champion Edition (Black Bar Edition) proto for the Mega Drive has to be out there somewhere..
