How do I not suck ass at this game? Feels like I can never get a good amount of money going for school before I fuck up and end up with a delinquent daughter, even when adding free time in between work. Also can't seem to get to any of the chests in the forest, is there some entrance in the bogs I'm missing?

Start the first months with farm work interspersed with free time. It gives decent money and builds stamina she needs. The important part is to end the month on less stress than stamina and faith.
There are secret passages on the maps.

One of my personal strategies I find works fantastic is do Churchwork a lot in the beginning. It pays terribly but you build stats that you can't build elsewhere, and it helps prevent her becoming delinquent. It's an underrated strat.

If at the end of the month her stress > max(faith, morals), she will become deliquent. Church raises both stats.
If her stress > endurance, she will become sick. Also usually she fails at jobs/classes if her stress is high and close to endurance.
If sensitivity is her highest stat, she will run away.
In early game put her on robust diet for +10 endurance per month. That's +240 endurance in first 2 years, very useful.

Don't buy expensive swords or armor, you can get free good sword (katana costing 2000g) in mountains area and you can take armor from defeated bandits. But beware, if bandits defeat your daughter, they will rape her.
After your daughter get some fighting/magic skills and 100+ sensitivity, the best way to reduce stress is to go (adventure) to forest (or lakes) area and have a forest party with naked little fairies. Fairies in South-Eastern area of the forest require only 100 sensitivity and raise art skill, fairies at stone monument in the forest require 150 sensitivity and raise cooking skill.
After your daughter get some (but not maxed) fighting skills, good way to make money is to go to lakes area and kill pedos (kidnappers), more money than working normal jobs and no stress. Kidnappers spawn on land, fishmen and black mermaids spawn in water.
If your daughter has good combat stats, the best way to make money is killing skeletons in desert area, hundreds of gold per skeleton, thousands of gold per week. In desert she can also party with Satan, if her faith>20 he will increase some stat of your choice, while reducing faith and increasing her sin by 25.
