>> No.6094734

Yes it sucks. I have a n30 pro and it's horrible. Pressing left or right also sometimes presses down on the d-pad. Was considering buying a retrobit controller instead.

I was able to beat a few actual retro games with the controller in the OP, including some on an actual SNES using the bluetooth to SNES adapter. As far as Bluetooth options go, it isn't terrible. The best modern controller for retro games is the dual shock 4, but it has less support than these things. If you're just playing on a PC based emulator, though, Dual Shock 4 is the way to go.

Fuck me there’re some total cunts in this thread.

OP, if you have no issue with the SNES d-pad then there’s something wrong with your 8bitdo one so get it replaced - they’re pretty chill about that. They’re pretty much identical. If your thumbs are too fat - and I’m not being insulting here, it’s possible - you might need to look into the circular pads on the sega knock offs.

Only issue I had was the d-pad wearing down to shit after extensive use, fixed by replacing the rubber contacts. I heard that the old units have sloppy diagonal inputs so it sometimes gives false readings but mine is of the newer game boy style so I never encountered it.

>>6094837
I actually did this recently on mine just to see what the fuss was about. Turns out it actually makes the d-pad closer to the Wii U Pro d-pad so it's slightly click but responsive and easy to use for movement. Made playing through Mana a lot less hurtful on my thumb.

I've heard the newest SN30 Pro+ has an even better d-pad but that controller is almost as expensive as a Dualshock 4 and has analog triggers, it's not really something I see myself actually using unless my current controller craps out, and I'm already surrounded by so many controllers and adapters just for PC that I'd rather not buy any more.

I have a brand new original SNES controller that I use and the D pad is just as stiff but I prefer using my childhood wornout (worn in) controller because the D pad is so soft and I'm used to it. This is a SFW forum, you should spoiler when you post something this fucking sexy.

Joking aside, it's a really great controller, the buttons are a bit stiff out of the box, not bad, but they need some breaking in for sure. I guess stiff buttons are better than mushy crap.

Is this controller easy to use on PC? Looks pretty good.

Plug and Play out of the box. Windows, Linux, and Mac. I use it with My Linux desktop and Retropie. No issues. One of the other anons says it works with Switch also. It's about $24 on Amazon right now.

You fags are the reason almost every modern gamepad ships with mediocre d-pads among other problems, have some standards for once
