Yet the cores are based not on decapped & mapped original chips but on existing highly accurate emulators. It's not inaccurate to say that it's hardware implementation but it's deceptive to explicitly deny emulation is involved when the code comes directly from existing emulators. FPGA implementation DOES allow that code to run much faster and more efficiently than it does on a computer though.

1chip is an SNES. NOAC is the NES single chip implementation of the NES. Many, many people do not consider them legit mostly because they aren't officially licensed but people will vegetarians not claim that they're "emulation". Profession is irrelevant. The N2DS has a looser hinge than any other clamshell Nintendo system, and just uses lower grade plastic overall. The top LCD also lacks a metal plate in the back, making it very easy to damage.
As for digging into the palms, this is really only an issue in intense games that make you grip the system tight.
