Is there a modern solution for shitty failing disk drives? I wanted to play on my pee ess ecks recently but couldn't get it to read any disc, not even audioCD's. I've already replaced the disk reader assembly once, there has to be a better solution... I never had one as a kid because I was a Nintendo/Sega fag, and none of the games on it really appealed to me. Now that I'm older, I've started to appreciate playing JRPGs and I picked one up some years back to hit up all the classics and I've been having a great time. FFVII, Grandia, and Wild Arms are some of my favorites. Looking forward to Legend of Mana and FFIX, as well as Mega Man Legends. I also grabbed a copy of Twisted Metal 2, because I used to play the shit out of that at my friend's house when I was a kid and it was pretty fun. The only game I was really jealous of on PS1 when I was a kid was Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, because I loved the N64 one and wanted more, so it's nice to finally get a chance to play that, as well.

Overall, for the kind of gamer I was back in 1995, the PS1 wouldn't have been the best investment for me, but looking back I can certainly appreciate what it offered and can see why it was such a big hit, and I'm glad I picked one up.
