Picked up an NES to work on, but I've run into something odd.
It came with some burst caps in the rf box, which chewed up two legs on the voltage regulator. I cleaned up the mess and recapped, scrubbed the rest, and now I can power it on flawlessly except for one issue. There is no video at all. I have audio every time, but I don't even get a flicker of a video signal on either rf or av.
I've checked the whole board, and the only visible issue is the damage from the leaking caps, which I've bypassed with no success.
I have a new 7805 regulator on the way because this one is holding together with solder and wire, but I don't know if it by itself would knock out just video.

Never mind, got it working after some more solder work. Reflowed the entire rf board and jumped the video signal pin because the via was completely gone and got it working reliably.

Would you rather I left the thread open ended to invite meaningless suggestion? I can't delete it, let it die.
