Very rarely see them in an arcade setting but more like the working mens clubs and semi dive bars in a corner beside a quiz trivia machine and a couple of slot machines. I found the trackball kinda novel.

I was a keen player of home computer golf like leaderboard on C64 and PGA on mega drive a few years later.

Maybe to add som e variety to the Neo Geo MVS arcade board? I really liked Turf Masters, along with Wind Jammers and Neo Drift Out. It was nice to see a 4-cart MVS machine that didn't have the standard King of Fighters/ Metal Slug selection.

NTM is easily one of the best games on Neo Geo, bar none.

Fun, accessible yet challenging to master, amazing music/announcer and player sprites, etc, etc.

Who wouldn't want to drop a quarter or two into it?

I was going to post pretty much the same, I remember a trackball golf game at the local pub for years. Some geezers used to play it know and then, I sadly, never did.
But like Pinball and Pool, golf cabs seemed like the "older boys toys" of the arcade when I went to play street fighter 2, mortal kombat and shit.

there was also a soccer game on the neo geo machines. i forget the name but it was pretty fun.
