Do they make a controller for the original NES console with a better/bigger D-Pad?

I'm teaching my Dad to play Contra right now, but his fat, chubby thumbs are slowing him down.

NES Max time. The black out ring works as a D-pad as well as the red inner part. The turbo buttons help dad with the button mash

Use this for the porker. It's nearly the size of the console. Even a landwhale should be able to fit their meathooks around the stick and only mash A or B instead of both at the same time.

Much as I love this suggestions, I already own these!

I was hoping to find a traditional D-Pad he could play on. Like maybe there's a modern company out there who makes gamepads for the NES still. I looked online for some but didn't have any luck.

more than likely it's the shitty square shape of the controller fucking with him (that and arthritis); get a pair of these and never look back

Woah this is actually really cool. I'm thinking about buying one or maybe even two to have one as a backup or for coop if a friend comes over. Anyone else thinking the same?
