So if I buy an original PlayStation, plug in a SCART cable, plug it into an OSSC, and max out the line doubler, are my games going to look this clean, or will I need to RGB mod my PlayStation or something?

pc version looked better than this with smaller resolution

A Playstation 2 with component video cables would work too.

Yes, that's what it'll look like assuming your scart cable is good. PS1 already outputs RGB

with games switching between 240p and 480i you're going to have a bad time

Shocking, someone who's obviously never owned one commenting on the ossc.

Don't listen to this guy, there is zero delay in switching resolutions in-game

Dat interlace bob flicker though. Jesus just buy a CRT

>> No.5978668

>>5978580
that flicker occurs with 480i text on a CRT as well though, dumb-dumb. It's the reason consoles like Gamecube applied a smoothing filter to everything to attempt to compensate.
