Something about this platformer blew my mind as a kid.
The controls and graphics were so different, and the atmosphere sucked you right in, unlike duke nukem 1 and 2.
I dont think I ever finished it.

I always had a thing for Athena on the NES. It's such a weird, intriguing mess. When I was a kid I felt like you could do anything in it if only you understood what you were doing, which I didn't. As an adult I watched a longplay video of it and found out how weird and glitchy some of the later bits of it were. It remained mildly fascinating. More games should be like that, all bizarre and broken and crappy-yet-inviting. Not very many more, but, you know, a few more.
