Weapon 3 is very bugged. Once you stop using it, it becomes inaccessible.

Also, just want to rant here. I like Armageddon Invasion, and what it is trying to do. But I hate how shitty each map can be. There are a lot of cheap bosses that are either invulnerable too often, or they are near impossible to kill (clowny, fuck whoever made that boss). The weapon variety is crap, the worst case being the cultist map, where all you fucking get is the chaingun and plasmagun (not counting monster drops). The maps are not too challenging, and little thought was put into balance. Also, the maps are all really linear. I feel like instead of BEING invaded, you are INVADING. I guess it works, but the Alpha and Delta wads work with that aspect better. The only level I actually enjoy (bare with me here), is the elevator one, but even that one has it's bad parts (room full of nothing but plasma ammo and no cover).

I'm not saying whoever hosts the servers stop using Armageddon, just also add alpha and delta when you do. Makes it all more exciting and bearable.

I find it's best described as retarded CTF. You take the enemy's skull and bring it to a pillar elsewhere in the map that may or may not be team-specific (but you have no way of knowing unless it's something obvious like being right next to the skull). That pillar can award a varying amount of points (again, no way to tell from the pillar alone).

I don't know why there's so much arguing over who's "best" in Samsara. I've managed to (with mediocre skill + aggressive strategies) to top scoreboards as Duke, who's widely regarded as one of the worst characters.

Doomguy is a strong contender, Parias isn't my style (of gameplay. He's absolutely my style of Metal Priest-ass-whippery), I've led with him and seen him lead when played with more skill than I possess. In fact the only one I haven't had luck with is quakeguyranger or whatever. Seems I suck with him. Although I've probably only put like 2 rounds into Invasion mode with QGuy, so that's not really surprising that I'm not excellent.

What I'm getting at, is the mod is pretty damn balanced from an Invasion/solo "pve" standpoint. I don't know about competitive, 'cuz I tried CTF a couple times, got raped with a cactus, and never came back to it.

That being said, and I know Terminus has weighed in on this and said he's not doing it, but I'd love to see a really good Caleb from Blood ported into Samsara. Maybe Lo Wang too, but it seems like I'm one of about 10 people who actually ever gave a shit about SWarrior, so I fully realize I'm in the minority here. Also, maybe a Blake Stone, although his gameplay is a bit on the simple side to translate well into a character much discernably different than BJ. Anyway, I'm rambling. Mod good, characters mostly balanced, stop hatin'.

The screenshot feature fucks up if your resolution is set to certain resolutions. Only option is to change to something else.

Also, that Instagib Possession(?) gameplay type was pretty cool (pic related), although there's no way to tell if a guy decided to go take a swim to hide the hellstone...

3-way CTF is pretty fun, though without at least six people you lose a lot since you can't even do basic offense/defense splits on all three teams like that.

In zandronum, click options, configure, files paths, and ensure that all of the folders you normally put your wads in are in the directory paths. MAKE DAMNED SURE YOUR IWAD FOLDER IS IN THIS LIST! ALSO ENSURE YOUR PWAD FOLDER IS IN THIS LIST ASWELL SO IT KNOWS WHAT FILES YOU HAVE!

It moves your shit to like, appdata or something like that on C: drive by default, you can simply change that to your liking by going to options, configure, wadseeker, and changing the directory. you can move the files from its original download location without fear of crash or anything of the like to the folder of your choice.

Now that I couldn't use the archie's flamethrowers due to the transfer to Z&, I've given them 'vilesparks', which are self-propelled moving wisps of flame that reach enemies and healing them. That's it. Archies have no combat ability whatsoever...

But they can now be raised.
Update coming soon, alongside blood colors and more shotgunner rebalances.

Well, the problem is that archviles are probably the most dangerous enemy in the game, and I'm trying to subvert that. They're supposed to be force multipliers. No more, no less.
I also don't want them to keep their current attack because, well, it's kind of boring since I'm so used to it. I could try making other attacks, I suppose, but I want to keep both versions as similar to one another as possible.

The point of the wad wasn't actually to make things difficult. It was mostly to make things different. His attack stopped working properly with the change to zandronum, though, and I'm not sure I liked the way that it made him never really raise anything due to flamespam.

Anybody played Doom Raider? Great wad based on Tomb Raider where you descend into a ancient tomb in a jungle. Some cool puzzles and traps, dual pistols and the chaingun is replaced with really nicely animated dual Uzis that you can copy over to vanilla Doom.

There was some variation in gameplay today! ynstagib Possession was pretty fun, 3way CTF was neat but kind of needs a bunch of people, Terminator was pretty awful and Last Man Standing DM was fun but needed maps to be tailored to the amount of players.
