Wouldnt it be kinda worth and easy for Nintendo to make a fucking N64 Zelda game?

Do they reproduce cardridges in JPN in general ?

That trailer was awesome! And yeah, it could be worth Nintendo’s while to make a N64 style Zelda, but either they don’t know there’s a market for early 3D gaming nostalgia or they don’t care.

>> No.5940553

Why would they do this other than to feed our nostalgia filled asses

Earn money ? Fill a niche?

Im not interested in breath of the wild or LA remake. But i would play old new games.

I was wondering something very similar recently.
Why doesn't nintendo open up development for ALL their old consoles?
As homebrew niggas be doing that shit with some success already. Why not get your royalties off of it like the good old days?

If theres one thing I noticed big about Zelda:
is that Zelda is way more attractive nowadays than she ever was back in the day.

Many developers despised making games for the 64 and were happy when the GameCube was released. I can't imagine Nintendo would go through the effort of writing a game specifically for the N64 when they could just make a game that looks like an N64 game, but why make a modern game with awful graphics when the majority of consumers get their first impressions from graphics?

>>5940753
That would mean that Nintendo would have to open up production facilities for these old games, and that would either cost too much or not make enough revenue. That and Nintendo would have to shoulder the burden of the games not working like they should, considering their consoles are 20+ years old and are gradually failing.

Zelda artwork wasn't really about looking prettied up and appealing in the same way as today because you're only really going to see Zelda's sprites and maybe some artwork of her in the manual. All of the LTTP and LA era artwork makes Link look more dopey than anything since he wasn't meant to be "handsome" until OoT. This changed in general after Ocarina of Time, the GBA artwork for the port of LTTP is noticeably prettied up.

Having an attractive design is more important these days. Plus, you know, ten year old boy demographic buying a Zelda game in th e90s doesn't really care.

Add to that, it's considerably easier to make indie games on a modern platform like Switch that works with present-day IDEs

Awful by today's standards, Chadlet. Judging by current "retro FPS" trends, shitty graphics won't even help with performance due to how bloated modern engines are, where old 3D looked the way it did because speed was of the utmost importance.

She complained that the anime-style button nose like you see in all the promo art was goofy and thought he would look better with a stronger, more "handsome" nose. She's the whole reason Link has such a fuckhuge nose in-game. Also, the "tights" are actually long-john underwear. Another attempt to make him "handsome" was the single earring, but Nintendo characters can't look "too cool" so it was an intentional, dorky offset.
