Gotta fight climate change anon! Even though it's impossible to actually prevent it, it's worth it to make use look better to our peers to pretend we care about the environment.

you can't prevent it, but you can slow it down to lessen its impact.

>but you can slow it down to lessen its impact.
No you can't. You just think you can.
But unless you're willing to kill about 90% of humanity off, it's better you just try and adapt to it. That is what humans(the smart ones) are good at after all.

Personally, and I say this with 100% honesty. I'm willing to sacrifice people who can't swim to the sea and Ikamusume's kingdom of wrath than I am toward giving up things like vidya game instruction books.

I wonder, do Japanese copies of games still come with manuals? They're really picky over there about packaging and product quality.

Yes you can. As I understand, right now the ideal is to keep the increase in temperature below 1.5ºC in the next 100 years or so. We'll have to adapt regardless, sure, but by acting now we can make it less painful. You don't have to kill anyone to make it work, and you don't have to do away with your instruction books either.

Once you feel the embrace of nuclear fire, you start holding onto anything you can get some nostalgic feelings from. Just look at the shit people collect in fallout, Japan is this but irl.

Thanks, but didn't help at all. The GB selection is small and pathetic. The search continues.

I do too. That's probably the biggest reason I buy retro games, the manuals and the boxes. If all games ever sold were just cart/disc only then I would just burn discs and use flashcarts.

>>5932675
It's not the same. It'll never feel the same as holding a manual in your hand.

>As I understand
Most people don't understand, sadly. We don't have a CO2 problem or a climate change problem. We have a population problem. If there was only 100M-250M of us, we could basically do whatever we wanted, resource and energy wise. But because humans, particularly lower-IQ humans, refuse to stop having sex, we have to deal with problems related to excessive numbers. When any other animal overpopulates, nature usually has a stopgap measure to cull the number back to stability, but humans have grossly outwitted natural selection through agriculture and medicine. When living tissue replicates out of control, it is called cancer.
Mankind has cancer. And no one wants to do any surgery because it's an extreme measure.

Anyway, that's enough about that. The reason we don't get cool shit in our game boxes anymore is for climate faggotry Companies like Nintendo get tax breaks and other perks for not having as big of a "carbon footprint" so they cut out whatever they can. This is also why packaging in general has taken a nosedive over the last decade.

More humans is a good thing in a lot of ways. More people means more brains and more innovation. It also makes it possible to have more niche interests.

I just find it really depressing to open up a case and have it be all but empty. Fuck even the cases themselves feel flimsier.
