Which retro vidya game have you played through the most times?

For me it's a toss up between Alundra, FF6 or Wonderboy in Monster World all of which I play through sometimes multiple times a year.

I think I've beaten Light Crusader a million times.

The save battery in my cartridge was always broken, so every time I sat to play it, I beat it from start to finish, and I did that regularly. I loved Light Crusader.

probably super mario world and sonic 1 or 2...
how unoriginal.

I must have beaten JJ2 for like twenty times already. I never did beat the first game now that I think about it.

Muh nuggrah

For me, it's probably the original Streets of Rage.

>> No.593561

Probably Castlevania.
I'm training to do a no-death run so I complete it regularly.

I found that game randomly in a collection of roms I downloaded to a PSP emulator last year, and it felt so good to pick out such an awesome game like that.

Either pic related or Star Fox (SNES). I've probably played the 2 years (and then some) about 10 times. I have one file that's literally 10 years.

Star Fox for SNES was easily my most played game back in the day. I've probably beaten it literally 100 times on the easy route, a few times on the medium, and I did beat it on Hard a couple times. I even discovered the Slot Machine trick way before it was common knowledge. Blew some friend's minds back in the day.

The first and best MegaMan X. I can play that game in my sleep.

Legend of Kage was my favourite game growing up. I always really sucked at it, but I played it every day for years

Maybe I am. But seriously, that game blew my mind as a kid because it was the best sense of 3-D I had experienced at that point.

I beat it the other day and had only 94% completion rating, but I swear to god your teammates get in front of enemies way too often outside of Venom. I think at least 1 or 2 times I did get 100%, and one of those times was on the Medium path.

Also, time to gripe. I can't stand the direction they took the series after 64. All the voice changes alone really turn me off from Assault and after. Also looks like the difficulty has gone down considerably.

Same here, understatement time, it was mind-blowing back then on a level that I will never be able to experience again until I enter 4D quantum reality. I literally could not stop playing it when I got it. My bros would watch me, similarly enrapt. I still count it as my best game of all time, it's on par with a religious/spiritual experience.

Never finished that game. The fucking desert part was hard as balls, god damn. I just kidna stopped playing it when you got to the dragon village, and then had to have the full set of stuff that made you tiny. I think I was only missing one item, probably the shield or something.

Pokemon games (pretty much all), Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, and Megaman 2

>> No.596117

I've played through Megaman X4 easily over a couple hundred times, so it's probably that. If not, it's Sonic 2, because that was the only game I had for the Genesis for a long time.

Really? It was a good game but I didn't personally see any replay value in it.
