I always preferred Nintendo because they were the only ones who literally guaranteed quality in games. Sega never had this. Sony didn't either.

You can hardly guarantee quality in the sense of gameplay and fun for everyone with all those different tastes. That#s why the seal actually just meant technical quality, meaning everything is in working order and compatible so when you put it in your console everything will work fine. Though you can bet your ass that the other view of it, that it is a seal of quality content, was more than just welcome by Nintendo.

Minimalistic boxart. I always knew I were in for a wild ride when the name of the game was all that the box needed.

It was marketed as indicating quality.

Nintendo did have some quality control before they licensed it. I think it couldn't have any game ending bugs, and had to have an ending.

It's like you fags don't know quality seals were just stamps stickied onto games that passed basic bitch QC processes (i.e. the game boots up on a system) and were licensed to play on a console; they weren't fucking seals that said "this game is objectively good".

No, they are right and you are DUMB.

The seal of quality signified quality of the game, it did not mean it was licenced.

No it did not mean the game was good you tard, but it meant the game wasn't a total scam that would die after five minutes playing.

With the later 2 meaning the game basically works when you boot it up and won't brick your system.

Nigger there are tons of games with a "quality seal" that you can make unwinnable by doing really stupid shit or because of straight up bad design. These seals had fuck all to do with game design.

You fucking nigger I've been aware of that text and everything else about the Nintendo Seal of Quality for about 25 years. That does not say that it just means that it's licenced and only a complete fucking retard would think that.

>Nigger there are tons of games with a "quality seal" that you can make unwinnable by doing really stupid shit or because of straight up bad design. These seals had fuck all to do with game design.
No there aren't. Try naming a few. Name a few games that got the seal of quality that are literal scams. Before the NES there were unlicenced independent games on consoles like the spectrum that really had that sort of shit going where they would have like one level. The NES is famous for Nintendo not allowing those types of scam games on it shithead.

Nothing to do with quality at all. Codemasters and Tengen released loads of games without that thing. Those labels were merely indicia that the game was licensed to use with Nintendo's consoles, you ultra 'tard.

I never even got a PS2. their run up to PSX is forever unparalleled.
