what are your thoughts on this series /vr? I never see it mentioned/brought up.

just started playing it a bit over the week and am disappointed there hasnt been a sequel/remake/anything since 1997!

only thing i can knock it for are maybe having a weak soundtrack

edit. I know they released some Darkstalkers resurrection package collection of some sort in 2012 i think but im talking main entries in the series

Despite animations being cut on the Playstation version I feel they arent really noticeable. Its not as obvious as the PSX SF Alpha port.

Vampire Savior probably had the weakest OST of the three games, but even it still had some standout tracks

Don't be nu-Capcom would've butchered the shit out of it, despite UMvC3 being a decent release.

There was a PSP release in around 2005 with a Chaos Tower of content from the three games
There was also a 2012 release with the 2nd and 3rd games

You forgot the Japan only ps2 collection. The psp game was just a port of the dreamcast Vampire Chronicle game.
