This is like the 3rd or 4th time nu-SNK has tried to make a mini console and it’s gonna suck like all the others.

Pisses me off because I liked the lineup on the japanese Neo Geo mini but the TV output, controllers, and joystick all suck and when they rereleased it they didn’t even attempt to fix anything

Well, the playstation classic came with 2 high quality usb controllers, ditto for the genesis, the nes and snes controllers can be hooked up to the wii/wii u through a wiimote, so that combination combined with a bluetooth adapted also makes those pc compatible (combined with a wii it's an excellent way to play high quality emulation through a crt as well)

There's also a third configuration that's pretty common these days that's 3 buttons in one row and a fourth in the other. It comes from Japanese 6 button candy cabs not being able to do the original horizontal four button layout.

Game list is literally all fighting games. I'm a neo geo fan and have an mvs but I won't buy this. Why in the holy fuck did they not include things like windjammers, bomberman, puzzle bobble, various shmups, at least one metal slug? Only fighting games is trash, I mean who will fully enjoy 20 of them? I can see having a dozen as it is neo geo but for fucks sake.

This. Don't worry about it, you can easily hack it and put whatever neo geo rom you want on there and play it with the built in emulator. These things are just androids you plug into your TV, you know that, right? You should be able to plug in whatever controller you want via usb and play every NES, SNES, Sega Genesis etc. game on it too. As far as I know this is possible with the NES, SNES, PS1 and Sega minis.
