>The animated cutscenes look like liquid ass on Saturn (believe it or not, was a selling point at the time).
>Water can't do transparencies and resorts to retarded wavy ripple effect that will outright FUCK YOU UP when judging distance in the spike section of Aqua Man's stage.
>Has generally downsampled voice and audio clips (not talking about the music which I'll just leave the slightly alternate instrumentation up to personal taste, though even if you prefer Tengu on Saturn you have to admit Tengu on PSX fits the stage's oriental theme better).
>Has a "holy shit what they they thinking" moment what that new annoying WREAGH-WREAGH-WREAGH red alarm onoxiously drowns out the music in the Duo stage (at least mute the music if you want to make it suspenseful, how mindnumbingly stupid to throw it on top of chill, laidback track).

Yeah. Saturn got Xmen / Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, the latter of the two I prefer to MvC1 in a few ways.
The best home port of MvC1 was Dreamcast, but then you're stuck playing fighting games on the Dreamcast controller.
