Has anyone bought any third party "active shutter 3d glasses" to replace sega master system 3d glasses that worked? I'm not sure which brand to buy, and the sega ones have that mini8 connector - i also dont know if thats just power or if its also signal necessary for the glasses to function.

Theres lots of options on ebay.

ok, its called a "1/8-inch connector " . I knew it was 8-something. Im sure if the card adapter is an actual 1/8, but it looks similar.

Thats why i asked about the brands, there are lots of active shutter glasses, but I didnt look through all the results to see which had a fitting or adaptable connector.

What brand(s) have you used? and what were the results?

Well there's yer problem. Try that and see if you still have any questions.
I've used all kinds. I've even use wireless glasses, with a custom made interface card that I put in a Mega Disk along with a YM2413. Really neat playing SMS 3D games with FM sound on a Genesis with wireless glasses and controllers.
