Well it's pretty good for a Telenet title.

Strongly disagree the female bosses are actually sort of beautiful.

I'd like to know. Judging by the style he probably did a lot of covers for other Reno/Telenet games.

No, that right is reserved for Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen.

They advertised the hell out of this when it came out, and it worked on me. Still remembering buying it at the Electronics Boutique. First shmup I ever beat. Loved it at the time, I should give it another shot.

In highschool I had a dartboard in my basement with that very advertisement on it. My buddy and I referred to it as the Jamie Bunker dartboard, named for pro-gamer Jamie Bunker, who thinks GAIARES is #1.

Getting that sheet of paper from underneath the scanned art tab, taking it to the counter to purchase, then going up to the cage in the back with that sheet to get a brand new sealed game from Toys 'R Us. There wasn't much available at the time, but I didn't want to leave empty handed, plus EGM gave it a 8/9/9/9 with Gamepro having exploding faces for all categories, I hoped it would be good. It turned out aside from the Macross-like cutscenes and sweet Yamaha sounding music, I didn't enjoy it as much as I did Gradius on the NES. Could never find a good speed that I was comfortable with, as it moved too slow or too fast. It was very challenging without using the T-Braster. Still a great achievement to beat it. I enjoy it a lot more now than I did back then.
