A future colony world is going to be struck by a meteor in eight years, an ark descends from the sky with the instructions to bring two of every animal on the world to it to save them and selects the main character and his psycho
girlfriend for the task of collecting them.

It's an RPG but a very bizarre one, time actually passes in-game leading up to the meteor impact, this has numerous effects in-game the first of which is the season system, different seasons will have different animal populations, you can only collect eggs during certain seasons and fruits during others, during the winter certain areas will be frozen over, and during the rainy season certain areas will be flooded.

The other effect is that as the years pass the world and it's settlements become more and more empty as people evacuate in preparation for the incoming meteor.

Even shops get more indepth than the average
RPG, as this quote from the RPG Gamer review shows:

There are three different scenarios to play through, all of them demented, but the first two lock down and quarantine certain areas and the third is much more open. It also seems to be harder because the main character was in a coma so now not only is there more to do since the world has opened up there's less time to do it in. Each scenario has a wildly different storyline, in the first scenario the main characters brother an evil killer who dresses in a Santa Claus outfit is an antagonist who kidnaps Linda, in the third scenario he's a supporting character instead.

The Saturn version is the best, with the most content and uncensored cutscenes.

Nemuru Mayu, "Sleeping Cocoon".

It's a dungeon crawler with a bizarre visual style where you tap a button in rhythm as a rune appears to cast magic.

I only found out about it a couple of months ago myself, and there really doesn't seem to be much to find about it.

Here's the impressions I found on another site of someone who's played it:
