In 2020? Btw if Dreamcast is allowed and all the game on it because it was released in 1999, I guess that means every PC game is ok because the PC was released in the 70s.

The rules are unfair and best gen deserves a place here. After that close it to new gens forever. But best gen is based.

The date should never be expanded. This board is about a specific era of video games, the Gamecube/PS2 and so on generation brought about massive design changes even exaggerated further in later gens. There's no cut off point, this is focused eternally on a specific era of video games.

It's like asking a 90s themed cartoon board when Invader Zim will be allowed. Never, because that's not the point of the board.

Yeah the /vr/ rules for retro games are fucked. I think it should be from 2-console generations ago, so pretty much anything before the PS3/360/Wii. It's totally fucking retarded that we can openly discuss the Dreamcast "cause it retro" but not any other gen 6 console, because they're magically not retro.

As for PC gaming, using years is more fitting for a cutoff.
