What are good games set in the stone age? For some reason I find that setting max comfy.

Age of Empires 1 comes to mind but they only touched the stone age surface and quickly turned into classic age faggotry.

I guess you want the "real" stone age and not cartoon cavemen and dinosaurs? That's a bit tougher

This is my guess too. There's stuff like Tail of the Sun but it's pretty goofy.

Probably the best stone age game is Far Cry Primal.

Yes, there's goofy shit, and for some reason there are redwood forests despite them not being native to europe, but the ambiance is top notch.

Whe you're in a forest, surrounded by massive trees and dense foliage and hear a wolf howling in the distance (particularly in the beginning when you're more defenceless) it's almost as if you're there.

But then, it's not /vr/

The Lost Tribe on DOS sorta fits. Its very silly and was made to teach kids about the stone age, but its a simulation of a stone age tribe migration with you leading them and managing all the resources and there are no dinosaurs or other out of place stuff other than some events.
Plus all the little animations for actions are done in cave painting style. Its neat.

Top Chris-chan scholars deduced that the sense of humour in this passage is quite evident - Sonichu is smart, so he doesn't have to be told anything twice, but during the stone age people were less developed and thus slower on the uptake, which means they would have to be told twice.
