This thread is for discussing all things Capcom (games, soundtracks, artworks, etc.) No doubt that this company definitely brought their A-game back then and thus it is only right to show them some love here.

It's funny, they've always been a solid company but with a few exceptions I've liked they're non-vr games even more than the old ones. There's not a ton of companies I can say that about.

Is capcom the one who had dlc on a disc until you paid them to unlock it?

I really enjoyed the Zeldas they put together; Oracles and Minish Cap, really wish the third Oracle was made.

Big Bang Bar is a prototype that was never made when Capcom decided to stop making pinball machines. But then a rich man named Gene Cunningham happened upon a bunch of documentation for the game in an estate sale and decided to make it himself. He made 110 units and sold them for $6000 dollars or something. It turns out making pinball was harder than he knew and he lost a lot of money he didn't expect to lose, but he kept his word and everyone got their game and the majesty of BBB was seen at last. Give it up for Gene, a true pinball hero.

This game has an alien pole dancer that moves around, and some singing aliens that lock balls in their mouths for a multiball.

Darkstalkers is the evolutionary missing link between Street Fighter and Marvel. Quite literally. Darkstalkers took SF2 and added more movement options like dashes and expanded the combo system by letting you combo successive normals into each other, while also generally making moves more over the top, both visually and mechanically. X-Men then took all of that and expanded it all even further, with super jumps and such, as well as a freeform combo system that basically let you combo anything into anything. So in hindsight Darkstalkers is basically the middle of the road between Street Fighter and Marvel.

Fantastic company with a strongly consistent aesthetic across a vast array of high-quality titles in different genres. A stable of great artists in the late 90s/early 2000s. Capcom has such a rich universe of its own that they could make a Capcom vs Capcom fighting game and fill it with amazing characters. They could have had some kind of comic book universe. It was that good.

Man I still can't get over how many great games they put out over the years and how many are my favourite games ever.
Even during their dark years they still pumped out some fantastic games. Truly the best gaming company imo.

PS: There was also a Street Fighter II pinball machine made by Gottlieb in the early 90s. Not technically a Capcom game. Most pinball fans think it sucks, but it has its fans.
